Since 1990, UniversCity TV is the creation and the setting up of a network of interactive communication, linking different European cities (Eurocities) thanks to the modern audiovisual media. The communication between the different Eurocities comes about through the experimentation of Advanced Technology.
UniversCity TV is a mobile laboratory bringing the participants (Cinema and Art school students, teenage groups, etc) a "savoir-faire" and truely "sharp" and "high performance" technical material . Graphical computer, effects control room, use of High Definition, satellite links for a direct and interactive connection between these different European cities (Mediacity)

today I would introduce you about the work of a very old friend with who I work with Unitvnetwork, MIKE HENTZ.
He presents a lecture about "WORK" this monday in RIGA Latvia.
The theme of work is a major topic of today‘s society. We live in outdated work values left over from the early industry labor (a sweaty, physical, dirty-making act) as the notion of real work. Computer and virtual work are unconsciously perceived as not “real” work in their iconography. Icons of work, like hammer and machine wheel, don‘t have their renewed icons in today‘s life.
Work is connected to suffering, offices are built in an uncomfortable way, with the uneasy neon lights, hard chairs underlining the symbolism of „serious“ work, the latter different from hobby or private work, with which the people identify much more.
Prof. M. A. Hentz will review the issues of the work as an increasingly important social topic: future of
labour, work, occupation, global influences on the local and international contexts of work and values of labour and the sociologic and economic impacts in society, methods and visions for the future.
You can find the biography and works of prof. M. A. Hentz in his web site.
