Architectural Video Mapping, call for proposals by CDA Enghien les Bains (Christmas 2012, close to Paris)

The Centre des Arts of Enghien-les-Bains (close to Paris and famous for having organised this summer the 7th Bains Numériques festival) is looking for video-mapping artists for a performance around Christmas.

The Centre des Arts - a place for digital creativity funded by the French Ministry for Culture and Communication - is launching a Call for Projects / architectural video mapping for 1 December. For the festive season, the town of Enghien-les-Bains organises annual events and highlights around Christmastime.

In this context, the Centre des Arts is seeking to extend its artistic programming outside its doors and into the public arena, offering up the digital arts to a new audience fun for all the family, crossing cultures and generations over the holiday period. The aim of this call for projects is to select three architectural video mapping proposals which will be put on show between 1st and 30 December 2012.

Each proposal will be projected in turn on a white canvas backdrop strung across a building in a public area, with projects designed to tie in with the following theme:

"THE CITY THE THOUSAND AND ONE LIGHTS - A CHRISTMAS STORY"

Each chosen project will receive a grant of 10,000 euros (including tax*) for the design and adaptation, programming and broadcasting of the proposal.

Dead line : 1st of October 2012
