incite/ new liveset "holistic glue"
After one and a half year production, the audiovisual performance "holistic glue" has been finished this fall! incite/'s fifth major audiovisual live-set adding up greyscale perspectives on their hometown to a sum greater than its parts. The Hamburg-based electronic duo blends the main elements of their pioneering earlier work and rises them to advanced levels: "holistic glue", an immersive performance of unorthodox danceable glitchy beats in tight sync with HD-visuals between abstraction and semi-narration. Combining the everyday-life-quantum-mechanics of "mindpiercing" (2007-2009), the urban renderings of "dualicities" (2010) and the macroscopic analysis of "zoom studies" (2011) with their special view on their hometown, "holistic glue" (2012) plays with unconventional perspectives: A surreal harbor-boat-trip, metropolitan animal wildlife, jump and run park-adventures of the uncontrollable lego-avatars, up and down on staircases, elevators and paternosters, gentrification issues, a shoemaker’s dance and the illusion of safety ending up in urban paranoia... incite/ 's challenging danceable noises built upon an extraordinary sub-bass foundation keep getting another bit more sophisticated while still routed somewhere between industrial, glitch, idm and electro - their sound gaining a warmth that only sparked through in earlier sets. The two synesthetically glue all different parts to a whole of an massive overall information density, presented in their iconic setup featuring the duo blending with their projections. With "holistic glue", the awards-winning duo bridges once again the gap between art and club worlds - unconventional, electrifying and entertaining with a smile.
