Ars Electronica is this year more centered around the Ars Electronica center itself. Wednesday's evening concert took place on the main deck there with the great Gameboy Music Club, the impressive Tesla Orchestra and Michael Mayr & Kid Soylent.
Last year Ars Electronica benefited from the huge Tabakfabrick space no longer available this year for the festival unfortunately. Too bad because it was a fantastic place to showcase major digital artworks. But fortunately, there are many other places here to discover the festival's many exhibitions and events during the coming days.
This year new section “u19 - create your world” is meant to showcase creations and help create for under 19 years old.

Sometimes is starts with 6 or 8 years old kids building cute light sculptures simply with glue as during the Plinky Basteln workshop.
There are also workshops and open labs as the Akkurace competion for vehicles powered by only 2 electric cordless drills.
