Digitalarti welcomes digital art pros, artists, festival organizers, journalists, collectors, galleries, institutions, digital art fans and all festival-goers around the world, and invites them to share experiences, information, artworks presentations, use the tools and data bases, and have fun.

The site includes information and blogs about hundreds Digital Art festivals, Artists and places worldwide including text, videos, pictures and much more.

Videoblogs can be opened for free, and everyone benefits from free space and video storage.

DigitalArti also has its own blog, where you can find out more about this site for Digital Art professionals, learn about  its community features, get help and more.

Digital Art International

  • Digital Art International publishes a quarterly print and pdf digital art magazine,  read-it online. And a monthly newsletter. You can subscribe to the monthly newsletter here in English, or in French.
  • Digital Art International manages a digital art acquisition and promotion company: Digital Art Promotion privately launched in May 2009 and officialy presented in October 2009.

Digitalarti history

Both international launches of digitalarti.com initial 0.8 beta version and of the acquisition and promotion company were done in May 2009:

- during Elektra in Montreal, Canada, for the North-American launch,
- during Les Bains Numériques in Paris - Enghein les Bains, France, for the European Launch.

The second beta version 0.9 of the site has been ready September 3rd, ready for Ars Electronica in Linz, Austria, and officialy launched:

- October 11th in Beijing, China,
- October 23nd in Paris, France during FIAC (Foire Internationale d'Art Contemporain).

The official 1.0 version has been launched during Elektra in Montreal in May 2010 as well as all the mobile phone applications for iPhone, iPod, iPad, Android phones, Nokia phones and BlackBerry phones.

 

Digitalarti development

DigitalArti is being developed with the help of many talented professionals, friends and partners including M21 Entertainment. Among them: Sami, Franck, Benoît, Yves, Martin, Philippe... DigitalArti relies on a strong combination of open source in technology LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) Drupal, proprietary developments and integrated partner packages. A partner site isFest21.com, the Pro Film Festivals community published by M21 Entertainment. Our mobile developments are done in partnership with Sachmania.

Hosting and administration of our redondant and load balanced servers is done by nocworld.net.

As everything this site covers is Digital Art, we propose themes to try to describe and categories. Not always easy :)
