During a 10 day trip to Beijing in China, Malo Girod de l'Ain, Digitalarti co-founder, organized on October 11th 2009  the Chinese launch of the digitalarti.com site, of the digitalarti magazine and of the digital art investment fund before the Paris launch, October 23 at « La Cantine » during FIAC.

The launch has been organized with the Chinese digital art association (DAC) at their gallery in Beijing at the famous 798 art zone, artist and gallery village. Numerous artists, different gallery managers, university professors… participated to this event.

The site, magazine and art fund were presented and discussed. A selection of French digital artists was also presented and commented.

Following the presentation, a passionate debate took place (with simultaneous Chinese –  English translation) on the art market, the digital art specifics…  Of course, the digital art market is only starting here in China. Local buyersare still very traditional. Even so for contemporary art: they preferChinese antics. But things are going to change, as in the States and also in Europe.

At the end, DAC presented their association as well as a selection of interesting works from their members, many around video animations.
