Electron Festival 2011

 

Electron, Geneva's Festival of Electronic Cultures, takes place from the 21st to the 24th of April 2011. Its eclectic programme provides for all sort of artistic practices: installations, performances, dance, music, A/V lives, and features artists such as Wagon Christ AKA Luke Vibert, Modeselektor, Andrew Weatherall, Dave Clark, Bot'ox… This year the dance focus welcomes Yann Marussich, artist and ex-dancer in the "body-art" tradition, who won the Ars Electronica prize in 2008 for his work Blue Remix. His performance will be accentuated by the music environnement created by Carter Tutti, ex Throbbing Gristle. Honouring contemporary dance also Myriam Gourfink's new creation, Choisir le moment de la morsure, accompanied by composer Kasper T. Toeplitz, both already guests of Electron's 2008 edition with the piece L'innommée. Exhibitions, dancefloors, conferences and workshops will also delight this 4 days intense electronic experience.
