So this work continues on from 'Symptoms II using the same type of broken lettering and compact style. The idea for this work was obviously inspired from the band Photek but also by modern aircraft design. 

I wanted to do a work that had the same properties as the outside metal of a plane - clean, white and reflective .  Originally I had a design for the shape for the "o" but changed it last minute to be an aircraft engine which I think works a lot better as the darkness of the fan blades seems to bring out the rest of the lettering.

The main idea behind 'digital was to explore a contrast between old and new.  This is one of the first works where I have actually gone out and sourced material for a design rather than just designing first and fitting the graffiti into a scene.

With this one I wanted to get a sense of the work wrapping around the tower and extending into the city as if it is completely taking over the space.  What I like about this is that you will probably never see graffiti this prominent in a space, ever. As graffiti just isn't seen in the same light as public art or any art for that matter.

This latest graffiti work was inspired by a car crash that I saw. Strangely I really loved the twisted metal and spilled fuel on the road - the force behind the crash was the type of energy that I always want to inject into my work.

This is one of the biggest works that I have done to date. The original file size is 9720 x 6480 and the psd with all the layers comes to 1.5 gigs @ 240dpi - I wanted to make this work massive as originally I wanted to add a lot more detail than what is in this current version but I've been working on it for too long now.

There comes a point if you are truly pushing your art form where you'll have to face a moment where you will be out gathering resource materials (photos) or somewhere in the public eye capturing elements, and the thought will cross your mind that if someone were to ask you at that very moment what you were doing you'd be hard pressed to convert what you are actually doing into words. This is what happened with the photo shoot for this work. Errrrrr "i am taking photos of this cracked road to use in a massive graffiti piece".

Another cold steel design.  This one was a deliberate attempt at working on my lettering and making something a lot more hardcore than previous works. This one also includes a lot of styles and techniques that I have started to pull into all my works - it's getting almost to the point where I am learning something from each of my graffiti designs.  If not a design style than something to do with the rendering process or lighting.
