Ars Electronica Festival Afterthoughts

Soo much to see, hear, exchange, discover…  at this year's Ars Electronica festival. What remains afterward?

The sheer size of the location was a much discussed topic among visitors. Impressive? Too much? Great? Not enough budget to properly use the whole space? Too much cardboard? Fantastic space to showcase some great works? Too much space to showcase sometime basic work? Great meeting place? Too large to meet people?

A bit of everything depending on who you talk to or on anyone's particular wishes. Personally, I loved the place, I enjoy those rough industrial buildings with lots of space. Many great artworks deserved the space around them.

It is not my purpose here to summarize everything I saw (and would it be possible?). Among so much to see, if I were to choose, my personal favorites (in very different categories) would be:
- The Tabakfabrik itself, see below the huge spaces of building 1.
- Jonathan Schipper artwork Measuring Angst

See you in Linz next year.
