This year at Ars Electronica we explore the human body inside out. On the left is the picture of my retina ! Thanks to the New Views of Humankind - Biomechanical functionality of the Eye by Michael Buchberger, Austria at the Arts Elctronica center.

One artist, Eduardo Kac, created a mixed specie DNA He extracted a gene of his own DNA and used it to replace its counterpart inside the DNA of a petunia. Why ??? As he answered: artists are using the medias of their times.

There are some artworks exploring human fluids like "Drink - Pee", I will let you imagine what it is and you will be right ! A green tech sex toy explores other pleasures: the Earth Angel from Caden Enterprises, Ireland...

The leading performance during the gala evening night, Shrink, by Lawrence Malstaf from Belgium, showed 3 artists wrapped in plastic sheets from wich the air is removed in ordeer for them to be sticked inside.

Leaving the worst for the end :), Future Farm explores scenarios where people grow and produce various clinical,  pharmaceutical products on and in their bodies. The harvest time is detailed during videos showing the knife cuting those mushroom like tissues with bleeding and all. Nothing is hidden! Will we really have to live through this? Probably!
