New media and sonic artist, performer and teacher, based in Edinburgh, UK.
He investigates experimental digital interaction among Man, Nature and technology by means of self-designed responsive computing systems. Underpinned by principles of post-modernism, new media studies and open source philosophy, his artistic research encompasses biophysical technology, musical and theatrical performance, and participatory practice.
His works were exhibited and performed in 25 countries across South America, Europe, India, China and Australia, including Venice Biennale, WRO Biennale, Némo, Piksel, Laboral, Pure Data Convention, Linux Audio Conference and EMAF.
Press features include Wired, We Make Money Not Art, Rhizome, Turbulence.org and Micro Art in China. Artist in residence at Inspace (UK) and National School of Theatre and Contemporary Dance (DK). Funded projects by the European Commission and the Danish Arts Council. Nominated for the Screengrab New Media Award and first prize at BLM International Electroacoustic Music Award.
Since 2007 is a director for the Live Performers Meeting. He is also an associate at CIRCLE, a group of researchers and creative practitioners based in Edinburgh and elsewhere.
