 /// SELECTION OF THE WORKS ///

New Media Arts category rewards innovative artworks using new media and technologies. A specific jury has the new media art selection in charge.
The New Media Arts category concerns every artistic creation integrating new technologies in its own creative process. The prize rewards a work using and questioning opportunities offered by machines and digital era. Interactive, audio-visual, digital, and collaborative artworks will be appreciated.

/// THE JURY///

Pierre Cornette de Saint-Cyr presides over the New Media Arts Jury this year. It is composed by 6 to 8 new media professionals: curators, festival directors, journalists, critics, auctioneers.
Its composition will be announced in September 2010.

/// NOMINATIONS ///
Nominations will be known Mid-December 2010. The three nominated works will be presented on Qwartz website [www.qwartz.org]. The Qwartz New Media Arts prize-winner will receive a financial or in nature endowment as well – its nature will be revealed beginning 2011.

/// TERMS OF ENROLLMENT ///

Registration is open from July 20, 2010, to October, 20, 2010, to every new media artist, group or collective from every country in the world. An artist or group or collective is allowed to submit several projects.

Registration is free and open to works produced after January 1st, 2009. It proceeds by sending an e-mail to newmedia7[@]qwartz.org the following information:
- Full name of the applicant:
- Name of the structure / organization:
- Function of the applicant:
- Applicant’s coordinates (address, telephone, email, website):
- Artist(s)’s and release(s)’s full names:
- Website(s) of the artist(s) :

Every entry requires a full and detailed documentation to allow the jury members to understand and analyse the work:
- Audio and/or video files (.mp3 320 kbs / .flv 700 kbs sizes)
- Pictures (.jpeg size)
- Note / short introduction (not longer than 5,000 caracters)
- Biography of the artist(s)
- Completed and signed terms & conditions (to download on qwartz.org)
The documentation set – included the signed terms & conditions - has to be sent in a zip file per e-mail or to download on a link.

the Awards Closing Ceremony that happens on Friday, the 1st of April, 2011.
