urbantick and digitalurban have been monitoring different cities' tweeting habits over the past months using the Tweet-O-Meter.
This project is developed was coded by Steven Gray.
The data is derived from tweets sent via a mobile device from an app that includes the location at the time of sending the message.
London and New York generally send about the same amount of tweets, New York however has about twice the amont of mobile users compared to London.
