Depression as Geography- this atmospheric movie, based on a poem about a woman's depression uses
hyperreal, surreal, documentary imagery and nightmarishly vivid sound to
tell the story of the torturous inner life of a woman who sits calmly -
coping? unaware of her own turmoil? masking? this video captures the
nightmare she might not realize she's having. shot on a HG 10 and a
Macbook.
Here's a series of animated composition I made with the selection tool of photoshop, on the "invisible" grid. I worked on a small scale, that is why the rectangles composing the video are barely visible.
I made a uniform one, with the basic magma, flow of doted lines. I also made one based on computer circuits, some kind of digital representation of the information flow, and another one that has some vertical thin selection rectangles.
Memorsion is a tridimensional audiovisual project by new media artist and composer Manuel Chantre. The installation and performance is made up of twenty cloth canvases assembled to create a unique maze of video projections.
TMEMA / Messa di voce in SFR Player exhibition- Messa di Voce (Ital., "placing the voice") is an audiovisual performance in which the speech, shouts and songs produced by two abstract vocalists are radically augmented in real-time by custom interactive visualization software. The performance touches on themes of abstract communication, synaesthetic relationships, cartoon language, and writing and scoring systems, within the context of a sophisticated, playful, and virtuosic audiovisual narrative.
CONDITIONED is a DVD compilation of experimental film and video art from Turkey that explores the intellectual conditioning of children and teenagers through both the educational system and contemporary Turkish society at large.
