Loplite, an interactive light drawing installation

Loplite is an interactive and collective drawing installation.

Using flashlights, light sticks and laser pointers as "brushes", one draws on the screen by pointing the light to the wall or by manipulating the stick in front of the wall. The shape and the location of the light manipulated in front of the wall define the shape of the projected line. As the drawer moves in the space facing the screen, the getsures are also a part of this creative process. The line becomes the moves reflection. Moreover, the LopArtHD software enables to animate all the lines, to create moving drawings, and original spectacular animations.

Based on the multitouch technology developed by the parisian company Muchomedia, and on the animation and drawing software LopArtHD, Loplite works on any screen, wall or surface of projection, for artists, for any kind of public.

Loplite is distributed by Digitalarti, in collaboration with Muchomedia.

Since June 2008, SFR has been presenting its whole universe in its Studio in rue Tronchet, in Paris. Aside its commercial space, it includes a venue and an “apartment”. A teenage target has been quickly reached thanks to private concerts. The second target is more specific.
It comprises followers of new technologies in all fields of experimentation, with the launch, in 2009, of SFR Player, a yearly event focused on innovation and creation. Digitalarti was in charge of the artistic direction of this second event.
