May 19th to 20th took place the 2012 Bay Area Maker Fair, a kind of artistic and engineering carnival, gathering several thousands of people about DIY latest innovations and trends. In December 2010, at the ZKM, a robot copied the Bible on rolls of paper, using a fountain pen to write Gothic letters, complete with decorative capitals at the beginning of each chapter, day and night. The FabFest will take place at La Gaîté Lyrique, in Paris, from March 31 to April 3, 2012. He questions, through the use of digital tools, this world of "permanent present" and carries a meaningful and relevant programming moving ahead of our society.
You will see new writings, digital graffitis, expanded debates and installations, electronic music and interactive devices, digital photography and street Art.

Call to artists: the Tech Museum seeks to commission a unique, long-term, art and technology-based installation. Piece will open with the Zero1 Biennial in September 2012.
The installation should have an “art and technology” emphasis and ideally be described as embodied, interactive, sociable, and tangible. Piece should be relevant to The Tech Museum’s mission to “inspire the innovator in everyone”.

This is a question that I continue to ask myself on a daily basis. How do you get the general public (especially the general public in rural Shropshire) interested in a large-scale digital art exhibition?
Do a few still shots on a website or a 30 second clip or social networking sites providing updates or descriptions of digital art do anything to inspire people?
I think that the above would inspire people but these people would, solely in my opinion, already have an interest in eit...
