Videoex International experimental Film & Video Festival is held every year during the month of May in Zurich. The purpose is to promote and screen single channel experimental film, video and digital works. The Festival was first held in 1998 and screens 35mm / 16mm / 8mm and most digital formats.The 2008 Edition of the Festival presented over 230 Works ( Film & Videos), the International Competiton had 1900 entries from over 50 countries. Main Focus are the International Competition and the Guestcity Section. The Festival presents also Performances and Expanded Cinema Acts. Videoex is the main Experimentalfilm Festival of Switzerland.
